Geothermal

Geothermal energy has been used to heat and cool buildings for decades, using geothermal heat pump technology to tap the energy in the earth’s surface for use in residential and commercial applications. The result is a green or natural heat pump that saves energy and benefits the environment.

Sun Source Home Energy System

The SunSource® Home Energy System

The Lennox SunSource Home Energy system helps you control your monthly heating and cooling bills by using solar energy to reduce your need for electricity from your utility provider. The SunSource Home Energy system uses free, abundant solar energy to generate electricity for heating and cooling your home. It can even provide enough electricity to power your lights and appliances and more.

Solar energy generated by the system is first used to power your heat pump or air conditioner and can be used to operate other appliances when the heating and cooling system is not in use. Any excess energy that’s not needed will be sent back to the utility company, possibly entitling you to a credit.

The SunSource system is expandable, affordable and remarkably uncomplicated. A few features and benefits include:
  • Condensing Unit Options – Select air conditioners and heat pumps from the Dave Lennox Signature® collection can be modified to serve as the platform for the SunSource Home Energy System.
  • ENERGY STAR® qualified – SunSource condensing units meet or exceed EPA guidelines for energy efficiency, and when combined with a complete solar home energy system, can reduce your heating and cooling bills by up to half.
  • Solar Modules – Add 1-15 solar modules to your system during installation, or in the future, to convert the sun’s energy into usable electric power.
  • Online Performance Monitoring – A communication module connects to your broadband internet connection to send performance information to a third-party website, providing real-time data on system status, energy production, and environmental benefits.
